Children’s Christmas presents used to be new jumpers, shoes, dresses and pencils. This whole expensive things for xmas is due to modern marketing.
My mom actually made a scrapbooked, laminated and then spiral bound book of my family for my first birthday. It helped introduce me to loved ones who lived far enough away that I hadn’t yet met them, and some who were unfortunately deceased or out of contact. I’m 27 and still have that book.
We went to a pawn shop and bought old electronics like a vacuum, cd player, and vhs player. Our 13 month doesn’t play with his toys and only wanted to play with our electronics
As a teenager I will be seeing if I would like these
