  1. THIS IS A JUNK kit…….I feel this man must have some endorsement from Thames and Kosmos as they’re a very very low end brand. I’ve tried several of their kits due to convenience of finding them in my local craft store when I was looking for materials on a whim. However, If you’re truly looking for a far superior kit type physics or physical science kit look into Horizon Alternative Energy kits. They’re quite a bit more expensive but so much easier to use, built to last, and perform the outlined function. ie. I used the higher end Thames and Kosmos Wind Turbine kit for a physics project and it was garbage. No ability to take readings, it took such high amounts of wind speed even move a bit, and I’d even “hacked” the wiring in order to attempt to get a more accurate energy production value but it was giving ratings of efficiency that were outside even my lowest expectations. If you are looking for something cheaper than the Thames and Kosmos kit then try looking into “Kidwind” for free wind energy, and other labs/lessons, lesson plans and easy DIY instructions.
